I can't figure out what the heck the Browns are doing. Firs I thought they had settled on getting a guy like Berry or Joe Hayden, which I thought was perfect because our secondary blew last year. Then they made the trade with Philadelphia, so I figured Hayden was out.

Now they're talking to the Rams about getting the first pick so they can take Bradford? We just picked up two QBs and I thought the report was tat the Browns really liked Teebow. He'll be there later for the Browns, won't he?

Are they still talking to the Rams, who dumped their QB? I like getting a QB through trade or free agency. (It worked for New Orleans.)

That was the last I heard.  The Rams have plenty of needs, so it makes sense for them to trade.   But the same is true of the Browns, so it makes sense for them to use their ton of picks to fill multiple holes than to make sure they can grab that one, unproven college player.

You talk like there is some kind of plan.  The only plan is that the people in charge are busy putting the cash they are getting into suitcases so they have it when the owner realizes he's been had... again!

In the meantime, this is all being done to give the illusion of a plan.  See BSG or Lost for how that works.

The latest mock drafts have the Browns standing pat with their pick and taking Jimmy Claussen. Please, dear god, no. That's exactly what this team needs: the next Brady Quinn.

Personally, I want to see them fill the holes on defense, let Seneca spend a year behind Jake Delhomme and next year, when there will probably be a rookie pay scale (assuming there's football), take a QB. Jake Locker will be coming out next year and he's a far better prospect than Claussen anyhow.
