With the firestorm of moves around the league right now, as teams try to make up for the last four months and get ready for camp, it has seemed like the Browns weren't doing much of anything.  On the other hand, they "haven't been doing anything" for about three days - it's just that so many big names have been moving in that span that it seems the Browns are standing pat.

They have released Jake Delhomme (no really), though, and signed free agent running back Brandon Jackson from the Green Bay Packers.  Jackson isn't a game-changer but he did a good job last year filling in for Ryan Grant and isn't going to be asked to carry the team here, either.  He's a good back-up to Peyton Hillis and an even better insurance policy if the injury bug strikes Montario Hardesty (again).

One of the first "casualties" for the Browns rolled in as Eric Wright signed with the Detroit Lions.  Wright was tendered under the old CBA, but with the new one he became an unrestricted free agent and signed with the Lions.

Wright had an awful year last year to be sure, but the Browns were thin already at cornerback - this won't help.  Nnamdi Asomugha anyone?

The Browns have also signed free safety Usama Young from New Orleans, where he was a decent role player.
