Two homers last night and we still lose. Kenny Roda was talking on the radio after the game and he said it best. He was like "I feel sorry for Choo because he has to play on this team". And why was Hafner swinging at the first pitch when he pinch hit with a runner on third and one out? On a ball that was in on his hands?

Another two home run game! I think we know who this team's all star game player is. When will they trade him?

Ouch. So now our best player is on the DL. Saturday when he got hurt they said he would be fine. Sunday he was in a cast and now he might need surgery? Things just keep getting worse this year for the Tribe.

Well, Shin-Soo Choo's injured thumb will be evaluated today.  Manny Acta has said that they should be able to set a timetable for his return later today, following the examination.  So now we all get to cross our fingers and wait to see what happens to our home run/RBI leader.

In the meantime, the Indians have recalled Michael Brantley.  Hopefully we'll see the same Brantley that we saw flashes of last year and the extra time here in the major leagues will get him ready for a full campaign next year - not that I'm not sold on Shelley Duncan or anything, of course.

The word from the hand specialist that Choo saw is that he won't need surgery for the injured thumb.  He'll be reevaluated after the All-Star break, but it looks like he'll be back sooner than the 6-8 weeks that was feared earlier.
