They did pick up Halliday, but that trade wasn't dependent on the Lee trade. (Well, except for the $$$.) The Phillies acted like they couldn't have both pitchers for a season. I hope they crash and burn after the playoff run that Lee turned in.

I think everyone was pissed about Martinez being traded to (the hated) Red Sox... although we apparently have a starting pitcher out of that deal (Justin Masterson). I'm not all excited about our pitching staff anymore, so hopefully they surprise me. At this point, I may as well say that about the whole team.
