Looks like it's time to get off of Kerry Wood - he picked up his first save since last September Sunday afternoon, against the Reds. He's back! That game slashed his ERA all the way down to 13.50!

One of the owners in my league has him riding the bench.  I better go make a trade for him now!!!

Hey man, those Saves can be hard to come by! Closers are a pain in the ass in fantasy because saves are so overvalued by most scoring systems and the position is so volatile. A good number of these guys are older or couldn't take the beating in the rotation so they're injury-prone. Plus, they have a few bad outings and get demoted to middle relief which, at least in my league, is next to useless unless they're a strikeout machine or something. This is the second straight year I got myself all worried after the draft because my bullpen sucked and I've been leading the league in saves from day one (with Francisco Cordero and Jon Rauch).

We better give credit where credit's due.  Woody pitched a perfect inning Saturday and slashed his ERA to an awsome 8.68 and got his fourth save.  Hell, that gives the Indians nine as a team.  We're rolling now!

He pitched a perfect ninth for the save Friday.  Maybe it's time to get on the bandwagon again.  Either that or his agent told him that if he can string a couple of good outings together the Indians will probably trade him.
