July 19: Indians WIN 10-4
July 20: Indians WIN 4-3
July 21: Indians lose 0-6

Indians 2010 Record: 40-55

The Indians pounced on Scott Baker - six runs in 4 2/3 innings - and kept piling on the Twins' bullpen to open up a three game series in Minnesota, finishing with 20 base hits.  Jayson Nix, Trevor Crowe and Jason Donald each drove in two runs as the Indians scored in double digits.  Aaron Laffey didn't have his best stuff on the mound - walking four batters in five innings - but put up zeroes, getting charged only with an unearned run on a passed ball.

Justin Masterson went 6 1/3 innings for the Indians and Kevin Slowey went 5 2/3 for the Twins, with each giving up three runs before turning it over to their repsective bullpens.  After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Jason Donald doubled in Matt LaPorta in the 5th, to get the Tribe on the board, and Shelley Duncan singled in Santana and Jhonny Peralta to give them their first lead in the sixth.  Joe Mauer's failed bunt attempt and a weak ground ball by Jason Kubel finished off the Twins' threat in the seventh inning as Rafael Perez, Joe Smith and Chris Perez shut out Minnesota the rest of the way.  Travis Hafner, though, doubled in Carlos Santana off of Jose Mijares to put the Indians on top in the eighth as they rallied back and then held on for their sixth straight win.

Francisco Liriano shut down the Indians for seven shutout innings, allowing 10 baserunners but limiting the damage with eight strikeouts and three double plays.  Jake Westbrook, on the other hand, scuffled - allowing four runs over six innings, with the help of five walks - as the Indians were blanked by the Twins, snapping their six game winning streak.

The Indians capitalized on poor starting pitching from the Twins in the first two games then got blanked by their ace but still took their second straight series, winning two of three on the road against a divisional rival.  The bullpen was solid and even with the shutout, the Tribe averaged almost five runs over the three games.

Losing the winning streak sucked and so did getting shutout again when the team had a lot of chances to score but we won the series and that's two in a row.
