David Stern Fines Dan Gilbert Fined $100K For Post-Decision Letter (WaitingForNextYear.com)
No surprise here. You knew that David Stern would issue a fine against an owner who stirred things up with a player with the CBA looming on the horizon. You have to think that the amount ($100,000) was sort of a wink to Gilbert, though. That kind of money isn't all that painful when you own an NBA team. mark Cuban has been fined a whole lot more than that for his comments over the years.
It was nice to see Stern also basically tell Jesse Jackson to stay the hell out of it as well as come out against (if only mildly) LeBron's television spectacle.
