The rational part of me says that this idiot has the right to wear whatever he wants to the game and it's wrong that he was the one shown the door. I think all of us have been to a sporting event and sat near somebody who was sporting the visiting team's gear. They get mocked and insulted and maybe get the occasional beer dumped on them and they need to know that it comes with the territory. Heck, I've gone on the road and been that guy myself.
That said, by all accounts this was getting out of hand and security basically had to resolve the issue. Ejecting most of the people in the left field bleachers isn't really an option, so there you go. The park was full of Yankee fans and there was no problem, but Heaven help you if you show up in Cleveland with a Miami Heat jersey.
