Cleveland held the home floor against their long time rivals, the Detroit Pistons.  On this night, though, the game proved to be secondary.

Detroit played with the energy that the Cavs have been showing for the past few games, burying Cleveland early with a 31 point first quarter and pushing their lead to as many as 21.

Late in the third quarter, as the teams were coming off the floor for a television timeout, Detroit guard Rodney Stuckey collapsed by his team's bench.  While players for both teams gathered around him during a stoppage to allow medical personnel to deal with the situation - eventually leading to Stuckey being taken off the court on a stretcher and taken to the hospital - the Pistons players were never able to recover.  Still clinging to a 67-61 lead when Stuckey left, Detroit managed just one basket in the remaining 2:30 of the third quarter.  Antawn Jamison started the fourth quarter wuith a three pointer, which gave the Cavs their first lead of the game and they held on to complete their biggest rally in over three years to win their fifth straight game.

Tayshaun Prince led the Pistons with 23 points, while Richard Hamilton added 20.  Charlie Villanueva (12 points) and Ben Gordon (10) contributed off the bench while Jonas Jerebko hauled down 12 rebounds while failing to score in the game.  Rodney Stuckey had 8 points and 10 assists before leaving the game.  He spent the night in the hospital and was released the next day.  The Pistons report that he is okay, but he did sit out their next game.

LeBron James led all scorers with 40 points and 13 rebounds for his 25th double double of the season.  Antawn Jamison scored 17.  Anderson Varejao continues to make a case for some Sixth Man of the Year consideration, coming off the bench with another double double: 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Delonte West returned after being inactive for the team's previous game, with 12 points off the bench.  Daniel Gibson was again absent, as he remained home with his fiancee, singer Keyshia Cole, following the birth of their first child.

I was reading a bit more about the Pistons.  Some people tried to make a thing of it but he seems to be fine.

Plus the Pistons won there next game and ended there 6 game losing streak, even with him on the bench, so Detroit is doing fine.

Assuming that, by "fine", you mean 19 games under .500, 27 games out and tied for 12th in the Eastern Conference. It's actually kinda sad because I always loved the Pistons back in the day. I'm still a huge Ben Wallace fan, but I can't stand Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamilton.

They ended a losing streak.  It's a matter of perspective.  They're not doing as bad as might be expected of them, so they're doing pretty good.
