The AFL is officially indefinitely suspended, but bankruptcy proceedings have apparently begun.  With that, several owners have joined together with teams from af2 and the AIFA to create the Arena Football 1 league, which will begin play next year.

The Cleveland Gladiators are not expected to be a part of the newly formed league.
