Gladiators: 42
Arizona Rattlers: 63

Cleveland Gladiators Record: 6-4

The rattlers showed why they're the best team in the AFL, capitalizing on mistakes and running an efficient offense and a smothering defense.  Kurt Rocco passed for 328 yards, but threw two interceptions (both deep in Arizona territory) and had a touchdown at the end of the first half called back on a holding penalty.  Thyron Lewis led all receivers with 157 yards for the Gladiators, but had a possible touchdown bounce off his chest for one of Rocco's turnovers.

Up next for the Gladiators, the 6-4 Pittsburgh Power (currently tied with the Gladiators for first in the American Conference's eastern Division)
LarryMac's uninformed prediction: Gladiators, 49-47

Gladiators: 32
Pittsburgh Power: 35

Cleveland Gladiators Record: 6-5

The Gladiators took on the Pittsburgh Power to break the tie atop the American East conference.  The Gladiator defense turned in another solid effort, limiting Pittsburgh to just 35 points but the offense made one fatal mistake late in the game.  Kurt Rocco was intercepted once in the game, but it came deep in Pittsburgh territory, in the closing minute of the game.  The Gladiators also gave back 75 yards in penalties along the way.

Kurt Rocco passed for 261 yards and 4 TDs - two each to Thyron Lewis (who led the Gladiators with 104 receiving yards) and Robert Redd.  Rocco also rushed for 12 yards and another score.

Up next for the Gladiators, the 7-5 Georgia Force
LarryMac's uninformed prediction: Force, 51-49

Gladiators: 62
Georgia Force: 48

Cleveland Gladiators Record: 7-5

The Gladiator defense hounded Georgia QB Brett Elliott all game and the offense capitalized on every seemingly every opportunity as the Gladiators rolled to a 62-48 victory over the Force, to snap their two-game losing streak and keep themselves firmly in the playoff picture.

Kurt Rocco passed for 212 yards and completed TD passes to five different receivers, but the story of the game was the defense.  The Gladiators forced three interceptions and a fumble from Elliott, with Joe Phinisee returning one of his two interceptions 27 yards for a TD.

Up next for the Gladiators, the 4-9 Kansas City Command
LarryMac's uninformed prediction: Gladiators, 51-45

Gladiators: 41
Kansas City Command: 50

Cleveland Gladiators Record: 7-6

The Gladiators traveled to Kansas City to take on the struggling Command with a achance to seize sole possession of the American East - where they were tied with Pittsburgh.  Kansas City matched the Gladiators in the early going as both teams scored on their first two possessions.  The Command took a 26-20 lead going into halftime, though, and never looked back.  While the Command looked sharp in the second half behind their rookie QB, Cleveland misfired repeatedly behind Kurt Rocco, despite his 258 yard performance.

Up next for the Gladiators, the 5-8 San Jose SaberCats
LarryMac's uninformed prediction: Gladiators, 54-50
