What I like to do is respond to posts a month and a half later after the gravity of the message has settled in.
No, seriously, for some reason it never flagged this post as New to me, so I never saw it. Until now.
The Monsters (And all of the AHL) are given their schedules based on how the NBA schedule is. So they have to fit in days/times that don't interfere with the NBA schedule. And then there is a lot of changes based on travel arrangements because they try and keep the costs down in the league and not spend all the money flying the teams to Manitoba and back, etc.
So, given that there are 40 home games in a regular season, sometimes you get an odd day/time. Most people don't go to those games. Basically your Friday/Saturday game are your big night out games. The rest of the week are for your die-hard hockey fans. I went to all 40 games in their second season, but it was too much. I just go every-now-and-again now. Maybe if I lived closer to downtown I could see doing it, but in the winter with the snow and shit, it ain't easy to get downtown and in your seat at 7pm after you got out of work at 5:30.
