The Buckeyes looked vulnerable in the first round to a 15 seeded UC-Santa Barbara because Evan Turner had a rare off game.  Jon Diebler nailed more three pointers (7) than the Gauchos (6), though so the Buckeyes lived to fight another day.

They wrapped up week 1 with a narrow win over Georgia Tech.  This game was another cause for concern, though.  OSU got by them in a close one despite 20+ turnovers by Tech, who also had their top guys in foul trouble all game long.

Nonetheless, the Buckeyes advance to the Sweet 16, where they take on #6 Tennessee.  Add in the fact that #1 Kansas got upset bu Northern Iowa and #3 Georgetown got upset in the first round by Ohio and the coast looks clear for the Buckeyes if they can get their shit together.

I couldn't believe that foul call that made it 65-61. Is charging not called anymore? Talk about a game that was slipping away right before my eyes. Good thing they stopped the 11-0 run, but a missed 1 and 1 still made my blood pressure continue to rise... until the intentional foul.

Northern Iowa is just plain scary right now.

Looks like Tennessee was a bigger concern for the Buckeyes than Northern Iowa.  That matchup scared me going in, but I have no idea what happened to the Buckeyes' ability to rebound the ball.  Ugly game.
