Lake County Captains Complete Purchase of Naming Rights Agreement With the City of Eastlake for Classic Park (LakeCountyCaptains.com)

Good for the team, good for the city, good for everyone involved really.  But I still don't like the whole naming rights game.  There's just something less "down home" about going to Midol Extra-Strength Pain Reliever Field.  I miss the days when they were named for the people who built them or team or the city.  Teas have already started to try to move toward corporate sponsors on jerseys - team naming rights will be next.  At that point, I think I may finally be able to wash my hands of sports as I've tried to do in the past when they've jerked around with tradition in the name of the almighty dollar.
