The Browns came into this game riding a three-game losing streak, while the Philadelphia Eagles cameinriding two big wins that had them on the brink of the playoff picture after surviving a rough patch in the middle part of the season.

Early on, both teams were able to move the ball, with each of the three possessions between them ending in a score that ended with the Eagles holding a 10-3 lead after the first quarter.

The second quarter saw both teams turn the ball over and pretty much decided the game.  The Eagles drove deep into Browns territory only to be intercepted by Shawn Jones in the end zone.  The Browns took the ball 27 yards before Asante Samuel returned the favor, intercepting Ken Dorsey and taking it the distance to stake the Eagles to a 17-3 lead.  The Browns ran three plays on the ensuing possession and punted to an Eagles team that once again drove the ball deep only to have Brandon McDonald intercept the ball once again in the end zone.  McDonald attempted to return the ball the distance as the half expired, only to be run down from behind at the Philadelphia 7 yard line.

A slow third quarter saw Browns punt twice while the Eagles tacked on another field goal.

Philadelphia started the fourth quarter with another field goal then intercepted Ken Dorsey on the Browns' next possession, ultimately leading to another touchdown and a 30-3 lead.  Brandon McDonald would later come up with his second interception of the game, this one successfully returned to give the Browns their first touchdown in over 15 quarters of football and make the final score 30-10.

It's not often that you can see a 20-point margin of victory and say that the game wasn't as close as the score.  The Eagles scored 30 points, despite being intercepted three times - twice in the end zone.  The Browns offense, for their part, managed only a field goal.  Braylon Edwards had over a 100 yards receiving, but with the Browns third-string quarterback left with only one weapon on the field, the Eagles were able to limit the damage.  With the injuries mounting and the futility fully realized, the Browns have all the looks of a team that is playing out the string on a lost season as they head into an ultimately winnable rematch with the Cincinnati Bengals, who they defeated in unconvincing fashion earlier this season.
